An Appeal From Our Chairman, Robin Ramsay MBE
As you will no doubt be aware, Ponteland Memorial Hall has temporarily closed due to the Coronavirus lockdown, hence we are appealing for financial help and donations from the community because our hire income has temporarily dried up.
Ponteland Memorial Hall has been serving our community for nearly 100 years and we will strive to continue maintaining and making improvements to this valuable community asset to make sure that it can continue for future generations. Your help will ensure that this continues.
Naturally, like any charitable institution, we have limited financial reserves. Therefore we have stopped all non-essential expenditure and will take advantage of the government’s furlough leave scheme to reduce payroll costs. We will also be investigating if there is any other expenditure that we can postpone.
We are well aware that there will be many charities making similar appeals and we may have to take our place in the queue for your support. Whatever charity you like to support, please do remember them. Many are struggling at this time.
We recognise, of course, that many people reading this appeal that would like to donate, are unable to do so due to the financial impact of the current lockdown. To those people, I offer my sincere best wishes and I hope there will be brighter days ahead for you.
To those who are able to donate, you can donate directly to us to ensure that 100% of your contribution goes to the Hall. The bank details are...

CLICK HERE for a Gift Aid form which can either be emailed to our Hall Treasurer, David Goodchild (email@example.com) or printed out and posted to us at the above address. If you are unable to print or download the Gift Aid form, simply email us and we'll fill it in on your behalf. Please remember that by using Gift Aid, we will receive 125% of your donation. It makes a huge difference.
Local businesses and individuals who make substantial donations can be assured that they will receive considerable public thanks via our website (with links to their own websites), social media pages, noticeboards as well as our next newsletter. We will also express our gratitude in the Pont News & Views. Naturally, we will of course, honour any wishes to remain anonymous.
Another way in which you can also help is to join our support group 200 club for an annual fee of £25. If you want to help, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you to all of our supporters. Your kindness is greatly appreciated and will leave a lasting legacy for generations to come.
Please take care.
